About NitroAlpha

NitroAlpha is a question-driven, multi-framework investment intelligence platform that synthesises the world's best investment frameworks into a single analytical dashboard with live market data. It combines 113 investor frameworks from 9 categories — value, quality, momentum, macro, quantitative, risk management, special situations, behavioral, and India-specific — into a unified decision-making engine.

The platform is built around 47 critical investment questions across 8 decision levels — from global regime classification (Dalio, Druckenmiller) down to individual stock entry timing (Minervini, O'Neil) and position sizing (Kelly, Van Tharp). Every screen answers specific questions, every signal traces back to a specific framework.

The core insight: the magic is not in any single framework — it's in convergence. When multiple independent, time-tested mental models point to the same conclusion, that's the NitroAlpha signal. That's the nitro in your alpha generation.

Core Methodology

Multi-Timeframe Momentum

Weighted composite across five timeframes: 1-week (5%), 4-week (15%), 13-week (30%), 26-week (25%), and 52-week (25%). Chandelier exit (22-period, 3x ATR) for signal generation.

Weinstein Stage Analysis

Four-stage classification using 30-week/150-day moving average. Only buy Stage 2 (Advancing). Exit at Stage 3 (Distribution). Avoid Stage 4 (Declining).

Minervini Trend Template

7-criteria evaluation: price vs 50/150/200 DMA, MA alignment, 52-week positioning. All 7 pass = strong buy signal. Used for entry timing precision.

Dalio Regime Classification

Real-time regime detection using VIX, DXY, Gold, yields, and equity trends. Auto-adjusts allocation model based on risk-on / risk-off / transition classification.

Multi-Framework Convergence

When 3+ independent frameworks from different categories agree on the same signal, conviction increases. Divergence between frameworks triggers investigation flags.

Live Data Engine

Real-time data via Yahoo Finance covering 100+ tickers. Regime API, momentum scoring, stage analysis, and trend template evaluation all computed server-side.

Rachit Desai

Principal & Founder, NitroAlpha

Rachit Desai is a second-generation entrepreneur and markets practitioner focused on bringing institutional-quality investing discipline to individual investors. He has spent his career working with business owners, lenders, and professional allocators on how capital is deployed, monitored, and protected across private businesses and listed markets. In those roles, he has operated both as a builder of operating systems—teams, processes, and technology—and as a capital allocator through direct investments, portfolio oversight, and systematic trading.

On the operating side, Rachit has led multi-year programs that sit at the core of how organizations run: finance and control environments, enterprise systems, process redesign, and performance-improvement initiatives. He is used to working alongside promoters, boards, and lenders, translating strategic intent into operating metrics, control frameworks, and execution roadmaps. That combination of board-level exposure and operational depth anchors his view that durable returns ultimately come from businesses with robust governance, cash-flow discipline, and execution capability.

As a strategic finance and investing practitioner, he has been involved in evaluating businesses, management teams, and capital structures for long-term, private-capital-style decision making. His experience includes working with family offices and founders, participating in early-stage deals, and managing concentrated portfolios with clear views on risk, liquidity, and exit pathways. He approaches investing as an ongoing operating relationship with both numbers and people, rather than a purely transactional activity.

Rachit is also a systematic markets participant. He has designed and run rules-based and algorithmic strategies that force explicit thinking around edge, drawdowns, and process. This systematic lens—testable hypotheses, robust data, and feedback loops—strongly informs NitroAlpha's architecture: investors should not only pick securities, they should design and refine the “system” through which they take risk.

Complementing this, he has significant exposure to stressed and special situations, including forensic-style work around governance failures, funding structures, and promoter behavior. Having seen how capital is actually destroyed—through misaligned incentives, weak information, and poor controls—he is acutely focused on governance quality, durability of economics, and alignment when assessing businesses and managers.

NitroAlpha is the synthesis of these experiences. As Principal & Founder, Rachit is building it as a practitioner-led, digital-first platform that packages institutional frameworks—around process, risk, and governance—into tools that are usable by serious individual investors. The ambition is to narrow the gap between how professional capital allocators think about deploying money and how the “common man” is currently equipped to do so.
